It fascinates me to think that each time people place their umbrellas in the sand, the patterns they create will never be repeated again at any time, anywhere. Maybe all of life is like this…it’s just something about umbrellas that helps me understand this concept. Festive Days shares the celebration I felt that day sketching the work on paper which inspired this painting.
