Baby & Me Yoga offers parents an opportunity to bond with their infants through stretching, breathing, sound, meditation and positive touch. Benefits: reduces stress hormones in babies & parents to improve relaxation and rest, stimulates digestion and aids elimination processes, supports infant's development

 

Yoga for Toddlers & Twos (12 months-2+yrs) Classes for toddlers & twos explore body awareness through stretching, yoga poses, songs, stories an more! Benefits: improves circulation and digestion, increases connections between the body and brain, builds muscles for fine motor skills, development of relaxation skills and tools to alleviate frustration and tantrums. Parent and Me option available!

 

Yoga for Kids (3-6 yrs) a fun upbeat outlet for children to play and explore yoga poses with music, song, stories, games, colorful visualizations and relaxation! Benefits : improves circulation and digestion, builds strength for fine motor skills, improves coordination, balance & flexibility, develops relaxation skills, builds self confidence and self control, problem-solving, critical thinking, self expression and helps kids connect to their inner selves.

Yoga Youth (7-12 yrs) Youth benefit from stretching their bodies, breathing, focusing their minds, and learning balance...in a playful way! Benefits: flexibility & balance, relaxation & stress reduction, self confidence, problem solving, & brain connections that help in various aspects of learning including spelling, reading, memory, emotional awareness for social interaction & more!

Yoga Divas (9-12 yrs:) designed to build confidence, friendship and expression for girls transitioning to their teen years. Benefits: balance & flexibility, relaxation & stress reduction, problem solving, awareness of emotional intelligence & other benefits listed under Yoga Youth but in an all girl environment!


Creative Drama + Yoga!

Yoga Storymakers: participants explore characters inspired by yoga poses and use their imaginations to create their own stories!

Yogis at Play Workshop: a 6-week workshop combining the poses, breath and imagination that we celebrate in yoga with dramatic activities that encourage youth to express themselves through movement, improvisation and story dramatization.

Over the last decade, Brooke has worked with thousands of children around the world on US Embassies, military bases, schools, youth centers, and private homes. She has a degree in Creative Drama/Youth Theatre/Theatre in Education & Performance from the University of Northern Iowa, received her RYT200 training from Black Dog Yoga in Sherman Oaks, CA and kids yoga trainings through: Yoga Ed. Tools for Teachers, MiniYogis, and is a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT)with Yoga Alliance. As a child Brooke spent 5 years in a back brace for scoliosis and had a spinal fusion by age 13. This experience fueled her passion to help children take care of their bodies, minds, and find the voices of their unique selves. She has worked professionally in Children’s Entertainment throughout LA for the past 8 yrs, representing more than twenty companies in costume, providing improvised comedy, silly magic, games & drama, painting faces, balloon sculpting, storytelling, and more. Her work with kids parallels the creation of her paintings, colorful expressions inspired and fueled partly by the love she feels working with children.
